I found a candidate I like. How do I hire them?

Once you have identified a Virtual Team Member that you like, the next steps are easy!

  1. Invite them to the Job/Workspace.
    1. Messaging will then be enabled for you to message them directly
    2. They will receive an in-app and email notification alerting them that you have invited them to your Job
  2. The Virtual Team Member will now be able to Apply for the job.
  3. Once they apply to the job:
    1. You will be notified of a new application for that Job/Workspace
  4. From there you and the Virtual Team Member will be able to connect through messaging or you can coordinate an interview with them.
  5. If there are any adjustments that need to be made to the hourly rate, the Virtual Team Member will be able to adjust it.
    1. You will then be able to see the adjusted hourly rate in both the Workspace under Applications and in any messaging with that candidate
  6. Once both parties are in agreement, you can approve the application.
    1. Your new Virtual Team Member will receive both an in-app and email notification that they have been approved
    2. You will be redirected to the Workspace
  7. You will then coordinate Next Steps and Start Dates with your new Virtual Team Member.

1. An applicant has submitted their application for your job; so what's next? This video is going to show you the steps that come after an application has been submitted.

2. After an application is submitted, unless you're immediately ready to accept it, you'll need to talk with the virtual team member. Click the chat button in order to do so.

3. Click Type a Message

4. Type a Message. It can be a greeting or your way of letting them know you're interested in hiring them for this position.

6. At this stage, all you can do is wait for them to respond.

7. Once they have responded, and it may look something like this, you can attempt to set up an interview. Remember that not all conversations will go exactly like this, and this is just an example. Click the message box.

10. At this point you will go outside of VPM and interview the virtual team member. Once the interview is compete, you can move to the next steps based on how it went.

11. Click Workspace to go back to the workspace

13. If after the interview, you decide you don't want to move forward, you can decline the application. If you do want to move forward, but want to negotiate the pay, you can have the applicant adjust it within their application.

16. Let them know your negotiated rate, or ask them to change their application's rate. You do not need to have them resubmit the entire application to do so.

18. After they change the rate, you will receive a notification and an email letting you know they have done so. Click the notification bell

20. Click REVIEW APPLICATION in order to respond.
