Hiring a VA Who Already Has a Job on the VPM Platform
When considering hiring a Virtual Assistant (VA) who is already engaged with another company on the VPM platform, it's important to assess their current commitments and ensure compliance with platform policies.
Identifying a VA with Existing Jobs:On the VPM platform, a briefcase icon on a candidate's resume card indicates that the VA currently holds a job with another company.
Key Considerations Before Hiring:
1. Assess Availability:- Current Commitments: Determine the number of hours the VA is working with their existing company.
- Proposed Hours: Clarify the hours they intend to allocate to your project.
- Transition Plans: Inquire if they plan to transition from their current company to work exclusively with you, potentially increasing their available hours.
Ensure Compliance with VPM Policies:
VPM's system prevents contractors from logging the same date and time for multiple jobs. For instance, if a VA logs hours with Company ABC on Monday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, they cannot log overlapping hours with another company on the same day.
Regularly review the VA's logged hours to ensure they align with your agreed schedule. Discrepancies may indicate potential double billing.
Monitoring VA Profile Visibility:
To check a VA's profile status:
- Access the Jobs Tab: Navigate to your jobs tab under company accounts.
- A green status means the VA's profile is hidden, and job search is disabled.
- A red status indicates the profile is visible in assistant search, enabling job exploration.
By following these steps, you can make informed decisions when hiring a VA with existing commitments on the VPM platform, ensuring transparency and adherence to platform guidelines.
