How do I contact a candidate?

Companies can only contact candidates once there is an active job connection. This ensures that communication happens within the context of a legitimate job opportunity.

  • When can I message a candidate?

    • Candidate applied to your job (whether invited or not):
      Messaging becomes available and you can start the conversation.

    • Candidate was only invited (has not applied):
      Messaging is not available yet. Ask them to apply to your job to enable messaging.


    How to message a candidate (after they apply)

    1. Go to Jobs → open the job that’s in Hiring.

    2. Open the Applicants tab.

    3. Find the candidate and click the message icon (or open their application and click Message).

    4. Type your message and send. The candidate can now reply.



     

  • The company must send the first message. Candidates cannot contact you until you reach out.

  • If you don’t see the message option, confirm the job status is Hiring and that the candidate has submitted an application.
