How do payments work for Virtual Assistants?

Payment Timeline.

  1. The billing period is Monday - Sunday 11:59 UCT virtual assistants must upload all their hours in this period. IMPORTANT - if a virtual assistant forgets to upload their hours during the billing period they will have to log those missed hours with the following week's billing period.
  2. The virtual assistant's company has until Monday to dispute any hours, any disputes by their company will be sent to the virtual assistant's email address on Monday. All disputes need to be taken care of on Monday. IMPORTANT - No disputes will be able to be corrected after Monday.
  3. After the dispute window, all time is auto-approved and the companies are charged Tuesday at 5:01 AM UTC.
  4. Payouts initiate shortly after. IMPORTANT - The payment process starts on Tuesday and is typically paid out to the Virtual Assistant's bank account the next Monday.

What can delay a payment?
     
  1. Your first payment may be delayed due to the payment processing companies performing extra verification to protect your account to ensure there is no fraudulent activity.
  2. Your first payment may be delayed if the employer is new to the VPM  platform. The payment processing companies may perform extra verification on the employer's bank account to ensure there is no fraudulent activity.
  3.  U.S. Bank Holidays can delay payment.  Banks do not process payments during U.S. Holidays. Here is a list of common bank holidays, dates may vary for more information contact your bank.
  • New Year’s Day,
  • Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.,
  • Washington’s Birthday,
  • Memorial Day,
  • Independence Day (July 4),
  • Labor Day,
  • "Columbus Day" (also observed as Indigenous Peoples Day),
  • Veterans Day,
  • Thanksgiving Day,
  • Christmas Day.

If there is a bank holiday in the country that you live in then it will also delay the payment according to how many bank holidays you had (if you had 1 bank holiday it will delay the payment by 1 day if you had 2 bank holidays it will delay your payment by 2 days etc).
