How to Check Your Applicant’s English Proficiency

You can quickly verify the English proficiency level of any applicant directly from their profile card within a specific job posting. This information is displayed prominently to help you assess communication skills.

Note: This data is typically self-reported by the candidate or verified through VPM assessments.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • Step 1: Navigate to Company Jobs From your main dashboard, locate the **Company Jobs** section or click the **Jobs** tab in the navigation menu.
  • Step 2: Select the Job Posting Click on the specific job title (e.g., "Assistant - Bookkeeping") to view the applicants associated with that role.
  • Step 3: Open the Candidate's Profile In the **Applicants** list, click on the candidate's name or profile card (e.g., Justin Thyme). This will open a detailed profile panel on the right side of the screen.
  • Step 4: Locate the "Languages" Section Ensure you are on the **Profile** tab. Look for the **Languages** section, which is typically located near the top of the profile, often just below the "Skills" section.
  • Step 5: Review Proficiency Level Here you can view the candidate's proficiency level (e.g., English: Native or Bilingual) to determine if they meet your communication requirements.

4. Click on the job listing under Hiring Status.

5. Click on the applicant's name to pull up their profile.

6. Navigate to the Languages section, then hover over the check mark to view the applicant's proficiency level.
