Introducing a New Option for Companies

VPM Solutions now offers an optional feature that allows companies to contribute to the platform fee. There's no requirement to opt in, and if you choose to contribute, you can do so at any point, not just when a virtual assistant starts their role.

What is the Platform Fee

Our platform gives companies the tools to grow smarter and faster all while staying cost-effective. That’s why the 10% platform fee is applied to Remote Team Members , not to companies, to use the platform. This enables zero-cost access for companies while providing infrastructure and support services that benefit both parties.

What Does the Platform Fee Cover

The 10% platform fee paid by Remote Team Member  plays a key role in keeping the VPM Solutions platform free and accessible for companies. By placing the fee structure on the RTM side, you maintain full control of your staffing costs. There are no hidden charges or subscription fees, allowing your team to source, hire and grow without budget surprises.

Beyond free access to companies, the platform fee also fuels continuous innovation. It enables our team to invest in ongoing technology enhancements that improve speed, reliability and usability. In addition, it supports built-in security and compliance features that protect sensitive business information and ensure smooth collaboration between companies and their virtual teams.

📝 Note: This platform fee is separate from the 3% third-party payment processing fee (charged by Stripe), which is passed through and not retained by VPM.

Why Should You Consider Contributing to the Platform Fee

While the RTM pays the 10% platform fee, VPM Solutions offers companies the flexibility to cover part or all of the fee. This optional contribution can be a strategic move that can improve team stability and performance.

💡 Insight: Think of it as an investment in continuity and growth.

  • Reward Without Renegotiation: Provide your RTM with a pay raise without changing the agreed upon contracted rate just by offsetting a portion of the platform fee. This small gesture can have a big impact on morale.
  • Minimize Turnover Costs: Turnover can be costly. Every time a RTM leaves, you invest time in finding, onboarding and training again. Contributing to the platform fee helps retain skilled RTMs longer, preserving that investment and reducing disruption.
  • Improve Productivity and Reliability: Remote Team Member who feel supported tend to be more engaged and dependable. That consistency can enhance operations and less oversight required from you or your internal team.
  • Strengthen Team Culture: Even small contributions signal to your Remote Team Member that you value their role. This builds trust and a collaborative dynamic that drives better outcomes for your business.

When Does it Make Sense to Contribute

Contributing to the platform fee is entirely optional, some companies choose to do so in specific situations where it aligns with their business goals or team dynamics. If you're evaluating whether to contribute, here are a few common scenarios where companies find it valuable:

  • You’ve identified a standout virtual assistant and want to recognize their contributions without adjusting their contracted rate.
  • You’re planning a long-term engagement and want to invest in stability and continuity.
  • You want to strengthen trust and communication with your remote team by signaling support.

If any of these align with your goals, contributing to the platform fee may be a simple, cost-effective way to create a stronger working relationship.

Example Scenario

Let’s assume your Remote Team Member is contracted at $10/hour.
See how a 0%, 50% or 100% contribution affects your total cost.

  • 0% contribution:
    • RTM receives $9.00/hour after the 10% platform fee.
    • You pay $10/hour.

  • With a 50% contribution from your company:
    • RTM receives $9.50/hour.
    • You pay $10.50/hour.

  • With a full 100% contribution:
    • RTM receives the full $10/hour.
    • You pay $11/hour.

This small increase on your side can lead to major improvements in  Remote Team Member satisfaction and loyalty.
